I Will Be Here

Our good friends sang this for us at our wedding. That was the first time that I had heard the song, which apparently, is quite a famous Christian song. The words (and of course the effort that our friends went through to sing for us in front of 400 odd people) meant a lot to us. Some of you might already be familiar with it, but here it is:

I Will Be Here (Steven Curtis Chapman)
Tomorrow morning if you wake up
and the sun does not appear
I will be here.
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
'Cause I will be here
I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
I will be here
Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here
Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here
I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you
And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here
I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me
Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I will be here
Oh, I will be here

As G and I soon embark on the next chapter of our lives with Ger-Ger (Kaelyn?), I am sure, with God's grace, we'll be able to stick together and support each other through all the ups and downs that our expanding family, careers and our marriage may present us with.
