Ah Ha! She found it!

Yum yum... Must have tasted real good.

And here's a close-up.

It's these "first-time" moments that make me wish my 3 months maternity leave is extended... What if I miss other "first-time/ground-breaking/earth-shattering" milestones in Lil' K's life?

I love massages. That was the one thing that I missed most during pregnancy cos most massage places turned me away, till I found Nan from Qi Mantra . She has a most marvelous gift. The gift of touch which melts away even the most knotted muscle, caused by a bulging belly. She cured my backaches during pregnancy after just 2 sessions. I've got an appointment with her tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Since I love massages, I figured Lil' K would enjoy it too. Z and I signed up for an infant massage class at Inspire Mum & Baby at Katong Mall and today was our first class where we learnt the techniques of giving our babies a nice relaxing massage. Lil' K enjoyed herself tremendously as she gurgled and cooed during the massage. She promptly fell asleep on the mat after the massage while we were chatting with the instructor.

Here's a photo of J who couldn't wake up for the class. Z had to practice giving a massage to a plastic doll instead. Oh, and K was completely intrigued by the plastic doll. She kept turning to look at it. Must have been the ang mo piercing blue eyes.

First Trip to the Singapore Botanical Gardens

Brought Lil' K to the Botanic Gardens today. She enjoyed herself tremendously in the great outdoors with all the greenery around and the gentle breeze blowing through her fine hair.

She visited the Swan Lake (when Uncle Dennis fell in when he was a kid. Heh) and the Ginger Garden

The only sad thing about today's happy outing, is that our dear neglected son Russy couldn't come along with us :( I'm sure he would have enjoyed himself. He hasn't been enjoying air con and a car ride for a very long time... at least 2 months now. Sigh. Maybe our next car should be an SUV or an MPV then perhaps it'll be big enough to transport all of us?

Kaelyn turns 2 Months

Time flies by really quick, especially when there's an overall lack of sleep! Heh.

Little K is two months old today. Here are some photos that we took today:

Little Rabbit Pharoh Princess

Awfully Chocolate's Chocolate Banana Cake
(Ok, fine... I admit. It was I who wanted to eat the cake and celebrating her two months of existence was just a convenient excuse...)

We brought Lil K to see her newest cousin, Darryl Teoh at Gleneagles hospital this afternoon. He was born last night at 2115h to proud parents Kin & Bin. Its funny how after just 2 months of existence, Lil K got promoted in rank to cheh cheh to baby Darryl.

A Major Milestone!

Our Little K can sleep through the night! She slept from 1.30am and only woke up close to at 8am, much to my delight :)

Or am I speaking too soon? Better not jinx it. Shhhhh...

Our Sack of Rice

Weighed K today. She weighed in at 5.1kg... that's like a sack of rice! No wonder I am starting to get backaches and wrist aches more frequently...

Had to change her out of her Newborn size Pampers last week cos her thighs got too big for them... We had used only half of the pack and tried persistently to use more, but we couldn't bear seeing the red angry lines around her thighs every time we changed her.

We tried to remove her mittens to let her discover her little fingers... and lo and behold, she "accidentally" found her thumb to suck on. Must have been quite a sight. Pity G and I were not around to witness it.

Some of the other things that she can now do:
- drools and makes saliva bubbles
- smiles, coos and gurgles
- expanded her vocabulary to include "Hi", "Hello", "let-go!", "Help", "Mama", "Cheh" and "Help Me", or what sounds like it
- babbles non-stop at times when Gwandpa talks to her or when she's out shopping with Mummy
- splashes and kicks while bathing (which happens to be her favourite time of the day)
- laughs out loud
- enjoys going on the many shopping trips I have brought her on, esp the part when I am picking out clothes from the racks and trying them on in the fitting room. Am I raising a shopaholic at a young tender age? Oh dear
- babbles to the spinning cot mobile and her friends, Mr Caterpillar and Mr Duck
- recognise familiar places and faces
- observe things around her
- smile a really cheeky grin and grown in a really unhappy manner
- sit up supported
- wail real loud (who said she was a little kitten?) when hungry or in discomfort
- fake cry for attention *rascal-ette in training*

Looking cute in her hooded towel after a bath

Looking grouchy cos evil Mummy was taking nude shots of her so that she'll be embarassed when she grows up and sees photos of her in the buff. Buahahahahaha

Club ESSO

Lil' K is a member of Club ESSO (Eat-Sleep-Shit-Only), alongside Gwandma and Gwandpa. How fortunate.

I am envious.

Well Said!

Things that change when you have a baby:

You'd rather buy a plastic tricycle than those shoes that you've been dying to have.
You discover an inner strength you never thought you had.
You no longer rely on a clock — your baby now sets your schedule.
You give parents with a screaming child an 'I-know-the-feeling' look instead of a 'Can't-they-shut-him-up?' one.
You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you'll be late.
You learn that taking a shower is a luxury.
Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you.(Hooray for poop!)

Once and for all... the answer is...
