3rd Month Vaccination

We brought K for her 3rd month vaccination (5-in-1 jab) today. What a way to end the year--with a jab in the thigh! Dr Tan taught us how to distract her-- I talked to her non-stop and G shook a rattle very loudly. All the action distracted her so much that she didn't realise she was being jabbed! Our little princess didn't even let out a squeak. Am so proud of Lil' K!
At 3 months, Lil K weighed in at 6.05kg and is 61cm tall.

Some random photos that we took during the day, New Year's Eve, before all the parties we had to attend later the evening...

Lil' K developed a slight fever as side effect of the vaccination. Fed her liquid paracetamol in a syringe and washed it down with a couple of squirts of water. This is her first take of plain water ever... and here's her reaction... PRICELESS!

Lil' K is 3 months old

And yet again, we have a cake to celebrate Lil' K's 3rd month of existence. And as always, its cos the glutton (i.e. Me) is greedy and wants to eat cake.

This gourmet chocolate cheesecake is from Obolo--Guanaja. Yums.

Ah Ha! She found it!

Yum yum... Must have tasted real good.

And here's a close-up.

It's these "first-time" moments that make me wish my 3 months maternity leave is extended... What if I miss other "first-time/ground-breaking/earth-shattering" milestones in Lil' K's life?

I love massages. That was the one thing that I missed most during pregnancy cos most massage places turned me away, till I found Nan from Qi Mantra . She has a most marvelous gift. The gift of touch which melts away even the most knotted muscle, caused by a bulging belly. She cured my backaches during pregnancy after just 2 sessions. I've got an appointment with her tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Since I love massages, I figured Lil' K would enjoy it too. Z and I signed up for an infant massage class at Inspire Mum & Baby at Katong Mall and today was our first class where we learnt the techniques of giving our babies a nice relaxing massage. Lil' K enjoyed herself tremendously as she gurgled and cooed during the massage. She promptly fell asleep on the mat after the massage while we were chatting with the instructor.

Here's a photo of J who couldn't wake up for the class. Z had to practice giving a massage to a plastic doll instead. Oh, and K was completely intrigued by the plastic doll. She kept turning to look at it. Must have been the ang mo piercing blue eyes.

First Trip to the Singapore Botanical Gardens

Brought Lil' K to the Botanic Gardens today. She enjoyed herself tremendously in the great outdoors with all the greenery around and the gentle breeze blowing through her fine hair.

She visited the Swan Lake (when Uncle Dennis fell in when he was a kid. Heh) and the Ginger Garden

The only sad thing about today's happy outing, is that our dear neglected son Russy couldn't come along with us :( I'm sure he would have enjoyed himself. He hasn't been enjoying air con and a car ride for a very long time... at least 2 months now. Sigh. Maybe our next car should be an SUV or an MPV then perhaps it'll be big enough to transport all of us?

Once and for all... the answer is...
