I did up the rough guest list to get a vague indication of numbers. We almost fainted. It was like hosting another wedding dinner all over again. We decided that we'd just do the cake thing cos we figured it'd be less of a hassle and both Mum and Lil' K wouldn't be so tired out by the whole affair.
Boy, were we wrong.
We ordered a nifty little 9 piece petit fours of PG Cake's yummylicious cakes for our closer family and friends.
We also did up a little postcard announcement card cum thank you card, and this accompanied each box of cake that we gave out.
Delivering of all the cakes was an ENTIRE 3-day affair, even after we sub-contracted a large portion of relatives to the parents to help distribute and even after a large number was delivered to our office. We had to rush against time to try to fit in Kaelyn's feeding schedule. It felt like an episode of The Amazing Race where we had to plan our delivery routes carefully and G had to drive like a madman whilst I read the street atlas and doubled up as a human GPS system.
Definitely not for the faint hearted.
